Explicación Simple

Si alguien miente para registrar un animal como si fuera suyo, puede meterse en problemas. También, si no devuelves un libro a la biblioteca después de un aviso, te pueden sancionar.

Es como si prestas un juego a un amigo y, después de un mes, no lo devuelves a pesar de que te lo han pedido varias veces. Al final, podrías perder la confianza y la amistad.

Imagina que Juan compra un perro y, para hacerlo ver más valioso, miente sobre su pedigree. Si la organización que registra animales descubre la mentira, Juan podría enfrentar cargos. Por otro lado, si María toma un libro de la biblioteca y no lo devuelve dentro de 30 días después de recibir un aviso, podría enfrentar una multa.

Penalidades

Por registro falso de animales, es un delito menor de tercer grado. Por retención de libros, se pueden imponer multas.

A person is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree if he, by any false pretense, obtains from any club, association, society or company for improving the breed of domestic animals the registration or transfer of registration, of any animal in its herd, or other register, or knowingly gives a false pedigree of any animal. 18 Pa.C.S. 6708 - Retention Of Library Property After Notice To Return (a) Offense defined.--A person is guilty of a summary offense if he retains any book, pamphlet, magazine, newspaper, manuscript, map or other property belonging in, or to, or on deposit with, any library open to the public or any part thereof, for a period exceeding 30 days after such library has given written notice to return the same. (b) Disposition of fine.--Any fine imposed under this section shall be paid over by the magistrate imposing such fine to the library instituting the prosecution, and costs of prosecution. (c) Form of notice.--Such notice may be given by personal service upon the borrower, or by the mailing of a registered or certified letter to the address of the borrower on file with said library.
