Explicación Simple

Si te condenan por manejar bajo la influencia, podrías perder tu licencia. Dependiendo de cuántas veces hayas sido condenado, tu licencia puede estar suspendida por uno a cinco años.

Imagina que Juan fue detenido por manejar ebrio y le suspendieron la licencia por un año. Si Juan es detenido nuevamente por lo mismo, su licencia podría estar suspendida por dos años más. Pero si Juan intenta hacer trampa con el dispositivo de encendido, la espera podría extenderse hasta cinco años.

ignition interlock device has been installed, the suspension shall continue for: (a) One year after the ending date of the suspension resulting from the first conviction; (b) Except as provided in paragraph (c) of this subsection, two years after the ending date of the suspension resulting from a second or subsequent conviction; or (c) Five years after the ending date of the longest running suspension or revocation resulting from a conviction described in ORS 813.602 (Circumstances under which ignition interlock device required) (2).
