Si necesitas hacerte un examen o tratamiento por problemas de alcohol o drogas, y tienes seguro médico, puedes usarlo para pagar. Pero aún así, tú eres el responsable de los costos, aunque tu seguro no cubra todo.

Es como cuando vas al médico y tienes un seguro que cubre parte de la consulta, pero aún así tienes que pagar un deducible. Aunque tu seguro ayude, al final todavía es tu responsabilidad pagar lo que falta.

Imagina que Juan tuvo un problema con la ley y necesita asistir a un tratamiento por alcoholismo. Tiene un seguro médico que cubre algunos servicios, así que decide usarlo para pagar parte del tratamiento. Sin embargo, al final, Juan se da cuenta de que todavía debe pagar una parte del costo que su seguro no cubre.

ORS 813.023 Alternative payment methods for screening interview or treatment program ORS 813.023 Alternative payment methods for screening interview or treatment program Text Annotations A person required to pay for a screening interview or treatment program under ORS 813.021 (Requirements for screening interview and treatment program) , 813.200 (Notice of availability of diversion) , 813.210 (Petition) or 813.240 (Amount and distribution of filing fee) who is eligible for the state medical assistance program or is enrolled in a health benefit plan, as defined in ORS 743B.005 (Definitions) , may utilize the state medical assistance program or health benefit plan as a third party payer for the costs of medically necessary chemical dependency services that are covered under the state medical assistance program or health benefit plan. The person remains responsible for the costs of the screening interview or treatment program, regardless of the amount of coverage or the failure of the third party payer to reimburse all of the costs.
