Si un coche tiene el guardafango delantero más alto que el trasero por más de cuatro pulgadas, eso es ilegal. Esto se mide desde el suelo hasta la parte inferior del guardafango. Si causan un accidente, las consecuencias son más serias.
Es como cuando cocinas y pones más sal de la que deberías; puede arruinar el platillo. En este caso, un coche con guardafangos desbalanceados puede causar problemas en la carretera.
Imagina que Juan modifica su camioneta para que el frente sea más alto. Un día, la policía lo detiene y le dice que su camioneta es ilegal porque el guardafango delantero está cuatro pulgadas más alto que el trasero. Si lo multan, podría enfrentarse a una penalización si su modificación contribuyó a un accidente.
Infracción de clase C, y clase A si contribuye a un accidente.
ORS 811.168 Unlawful fender height modifications ORS 811.168 Unlawful fender height modifications penalty Text Annotations (1) A person commits the offense of unlawful fender height modifications if the person operates a motor vehicle on a highway and the motor vehicle has been modified by any means so as to cause the height of the front fender to be four or more inches greater than the height of the rear fender, as measured vertically from the ground through the centerline of the wheel to the bottom of the fender. (2) The offense described in this section does not apply when a motor vehicle is carrying a load that causes the height of the front fender to be four or more inches greater than the height of the rear fender. (3) The offense described in this section, unlawful fender height modifications, is a Class C traffic violation unless commission of the offense contributes to an accident. If commission of the offense contributes to an accident, the offense is a Class A traffic violation.
