Explicación Simple

Si alguien comete un delito en Oregón y se escapa a otro estado, el fiscal puede pedir al gobernador que lo traiga de vuelta. Esto se hace para que esa persona enfrente la justicia aquí.

Es como cuando un jugador se escapa del campo durante un partido y el árbitro tiene que pedirle a otro árbitro de otro campo que lo traiga de vuelta para que el juego continúe.

Imagina que Juan, quien vive en California, es acusado de robar un banco en Oregón. El fiscal de Oregón presenta una solicitud al gobernador para que Juan sea traído de vuelta, ya que es importante que enfrente su juicio por el robo.

ORS 133.833 Application for requisition ORS 133.833 Application for requisition filing and forwarding of papers Text Annotations   1 (1) When the return to this state of a person charged with crime in this state is required, the district attorney of the county in which the alleged crime is committed shall present to the Governor written application for a requisition for the return of the person charged, in which application shall be stated the name of the person so charged, the crime charged against the person, the approximate time, place and circumstances of its commission, the state in which the person is believed to be, including the location of the accused therein at the time the application is made, and certifying that in the opinion of the district attorney the interest of the public in the effective administration of criminal justice requires the arrest and return of the accused to this state for trial, and that the proceeding is not instituted to enforce a private claim.
