Explicación Simple

Esta ley dice que nadie puede obligarte a aceptar cosas que son consideradas malas o inapropiadas cuando compras algo. Por ejemplo, si compras un libro, no te pueden hacer aceptar un video que es ofensivo. También prohíbe castigar a alguien por devolver esos materiales inapropiados.

Es como cuando compras un helado y el vendedor no puede obligarte a llevar un sabor que no te gusta solo porque compraste otro. Si no quieres el sabor extraño, no tienes que llevarlo.

Ejemplo Práctico

Imagina que Carlos va a una tienda de discos y quiere comprar un álbum. El vendedor no puede obligarlo a llevar un DVD que contiene contenido obsceno solo porque compró el disco. Si Carlos decide devolver el DVD, el vendedor no puede hacerle ningún tipo de amenaza o penalización.

(B) No person shall deny or threaten to deny any franchise or impose or threaten to impose any financial or other penalty upon any purchaser or consignee because the purchaser or consignee failed or refused to accept any material reasonably believed to be obscene as a condition to the sale, allocation, consignment, or delivery of any other material or goods or because the purchaser or consignee returned any material believed to be obscene that the purchaser or consignee initially accepted.
