Except as otherwise provided in subsection 3, a person within this State shall not sell, transfer or otherwise dispose of any firearm or ammunition to another person or purchase a firearm on behalf of or for another person with the intent to transfer the firearm to that person if he or she has reasonable cause to believe that the other person: (a) Is under indictment for, or has been convicted of, a felony in this or any other state, or in any political subdivision thereof, or of a felony in violation of the laws of the United States of America, unless the other person has received a pardon and the pardon does not restrict his or her right to bear arms; (b) Is prohibited from possessing a firearm pursuant toNRS 202.360; or (c) Is a known member of a criminal gang as defined inNRS 193.168. 2.
