Secuestrar a alguien es cuando tomas a una persona sin su permiso. Si alguien lo hace, puede ir a la cárcel por mucho tiempo dependiendo de lo que le pase a la persona secuestrada.
Es como si alguien te llevara a la fuerza a un lugar sin que tú quieras, y eso está muy mal y tiene serias consecuencias.
Imagina que Ana, de 15 años, es llevada por un extraño en un coche sin que sus padres lo sepan. Si Ana no es liberada en un lugar seguro y sufre daño, la persona que la secuestró podría enfrentar hasta 40 años de prisión.
Hasta 20 años de prisión o multa de hasta $35,000; hasta 40 años o multa de $50,000 si hay agravantes.
Whoever, for any of the following purposes, confines or removes from one place to another, any person without the person's consent or, if the person is under the age of 16 years, without the consent of the person's parents or other legal custodian, is guilty of kidnapping and may be sentenced as provided in subdivision 2: (1) to hold for ransom or reward for release, or as shield or hostage; or (2) to facilitate commission of any felony or flight thereafter; or (3) to commit great bodily harm or to terrorize the victim or another; or (4) to hold in involuntary servitude.
