MCL 257.311a - Issuance of receipt for operator's or chauffeur's license; form; approval; design; effect; expiration of receipt and license; renewal of license Sec. 311a. If the court requires a person who is accused of a misdemeanor or ordinance violation to surrender his or her operator's or chauffeur's license pursuant to section 6 of chapter V of the code of criminal procedure, Act No. 175 of the Public Acts of 1927, being section 765.6 of the Michigan Compiled Laws, or section 4 of Act No. 257 of the Public Acts of 1966, being section 780.64 of the Michigan Compiled Laws, and if the license is not expired, suspended, revoked, or canceled, the court shall issue to the licensee a receipt for the license. The form of the receipt shall be approved or provided by the secretary of state. The form shall be designed so that it may contain a photocopy of an operator's or chauffeur's license. The receipt shall have the effect of granting driving privileges identical to the operator's or chauffeur's license surrendered to the court but that effect shall cease on the date on which the receipt expires or on the date on which the license expires, whichever date occurs first. If the license expires or will expire while the license is surrendered, the secretary of state may renew the operator's or chauffeur's license pursuant to section 314. The expiration date of the receipt shall be specified by the court on the receipt.
Debes entregarla al juez y recibir un recibo que te permitirá seguir manejando mientras tu licencia esté en regla.
