MCL 333.13728 - Manifest as condition to transporting of waste by carrier; certification; contents; delivery; retaining copy of manifest; forwarding copy of manifest Sec. 13728. (1) A carrier shall not transport waste unless each shipment of waste is accompanied by a manifest. (2) A carrier shall certify on the manifest the receipt of waste for transportation, and shall specify on the manifest the number of containers of waste received and actually delivered and the corresponding identification numbers for each container of waste, and the carrier's identification number. The carrier shall deliver the waste and the manifest only to the destination specified on the manifest. (3) A carrier shall retain a copy of each manifest for 3 years. The retention period required by this subsection shall be automatically extended during the course of an unresolved enforcement action regarding a regulated activity or as required by the director. The carrier shall forward a copy of the manifest to the authority within 10 days of its delivery to a processor, collector, or to the disposal site.
