MCL 750.332 - Fraudulent entry of horses in speed contests Sec. 332. Fraudulent entry of horses in speed contests—Any person who shall knowingly and corruptly enter, or cause to be entered for competition, or to compete for any prize, purse, premium, stake or sweepstakes, offered by any agricultural society or driving club, or other society organized under the laws of this state, or by any association of persons in this state where the same is to be decided by a contest of speed, any horse, mare, gelding, colt or filly, under an assumed or false name, or out of its proper class or division, with intent to cheat or deceive such society or organization or association, shall be guilty of a felony. The class or division in which an entry is made, within the meaning of this section, shall be determined by the rules and regulations of the society, organization or association under whose auspices the contest is to be conducted and the published terms and conditions under which the prize, purse, premium, stake or sweepstakes is offered, opened or announced. The true name of any horse, mare, gelding, colt or filly, within the meaning of this section, shall be the name by which it is known under and according to the rules and regulations of such society, organization or association, and the name by which any horse, mare, gelding, colt or filly has once competed for any prize, purse, premium, stake or sweepstakes, shall be regarded as its true name, unless the name is changed as provided by said rules and regulations.
