Esta ley dice que no puedes causar problemas en lugares públicos o reuniones donde la gente está reunida pacíficamente. También prohíbe aceptar retos a pelear, como duelos, o hablar mal de alguien por no querer pelear.

Es como si estuvieras en una fiesta con amigos y alguien empieza a pelear o gritar. Eso arruina la diversión de todos, y la ley quiere evitar que eso pase.

MCL 750.170 - Disturbance of lawful meetings Sec. 170. Disturbance of lawful meetings—Any person who shall make or excite any disturbance or contention in any tavern, store or grocery, manufacturing establishment or any other business place or in any street, lane, alley, highway, public building, grounds or park, or at any election or other public meeting where citizens are peaceably and lawfully assembled, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. MCL 750.172 - Accepting challenge and abetting duel Sec. 172. Any person who shall accept any challenge, or who shall knowingly carry or deliver any challenge or message, whether a duel ensue or not, and every person who shall be present at the fighting of a duel with deadly weapons as an aid or second, or surgeon, or who shall advise, encourage, or promote such duel, is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for not more than 1 year or a fine of not more than $1,000.00 and is also disqualified as mentioned in the preceding section. MCL 750.173 - Posting for not accepting challenge to duel Sec. 173. Any person who shall post or advertise another, or in writing or print, use any reproachful or contemptuous language, to or concerning another, for not fighting a duel, or for not sending or accepting a challenge, is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for not more than 6 months or a fine of not more than $750.00. MCL 750.173a - Fencing as sport Sec. 173a. Fencing as a sport shall not be a violation of sections 171, 172 or 173 when face masks and other protective clothing designed to reduce the risk of injury are worn.
