Explicación Simple

Si alguien ayuda o anima a un niño a hacer cosas malas o a no cuidar de sí mismo, puede meterse en problemas con la ley. Esto incluye a cualquier persona que haga que un niño de menos de 17 años se comporte mal o se descuide.

Es como cuando un adulto le dice a un niño que no estudie y se quede jugando en lugar de hacer su tarea. Esa falta de guía puede llevar al niño a problemas en la escuela.

Imagina que Juan, un hombre de 30 años, le dice a su sobrino de 15 años que se salte la escuela y que vayan a jugar videojuegos en lugar de estudiar. Si esto afecta el comportamiento del niño y lo lleva a problemas, Juan podría enfrentar consecuencias legales.

MCL 750.145 - Minor; contributing to neglect or delinquency Sec. 145. Contributing to neglect or delinquency of children—Any person who shall by any act, or by any word, encourage, contribute toward, cause or tend to cause any minor child under the age of 17 years to become neglected or delinquent so as to come or tend to come under the jurisdiction of the juvenile division of the probate court, as defined in section 2 of chapter 12a of Act No. 288 of the Public Acts of 1939, as added by Act No. 54 of the Public Acts of the First Extra Session of 1944, and any amendments thereto, whether or not such child shall in fact be adjudicated a ward of the probate court, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. MCL 750.145a - Accosting, enticing or soliciting child for immoral purpose Sec. 145a. A person who accosts, entices, or solicits a child less than 16 years of age, regardless of whether the person knows the individual is a child or knows the actual age of the child, or an individual whom he or she believes is a child less than 16 years of age with the intent to induce or force that child or individual to commit an immoral act, to submit to an act of sexual intercourse or an act of gross indecency, or to any other act of depravity or delinquency, or who encourages a child less than 16 years of age, regardless of whether the person knows the individual is a child or knows the actual age of the child, or an individual whom he or she believes is a child less than 16 years of age to engage in any of those acts is guilty of a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than 4 years or a fine of not more than $4,000.00, or both.
