Explicación Simple

Si alguien roba algo en un lugar y lo lleva a otro, puede ser juzgado donde lo llevó. Es como si el robo contara como si hubiera pasado en ese nuevo lugar.

Es como cuando alguien se lleva una pizza de una fiesta y llega a otra fiesta. Aunque la pizza fue robada en la primera fiesta, en la segunda fiesta también puede haber problemas si alguien se entera.

Imagina que Juan roba una bicicleta en Ohio y luego la trae a Michigan. Aunque el robo ocurrió en Ohio, la policía de Michigan puede arrestar a Juan y llevarlo a juicio allá por el robo.

MCL 767.63 - Place of indictment; removal of stolen property from another county Sec. 63. When any property shall be stolen in 1 county and brought into another, the offender may be indicted, tried and convicted in the county into which such stolen property was brought, in the same manner as if such property had been originally stolen in that county; and when such property shall have been taken by burglary or robbery the offender may be indicted, tried and convicted of said burglary or robbery, in the county into which such property was brought in the same manner as if such burglary or robbery had been committed in that county.
