Imagina que en varias ciudades de Illinois hay un problema con la explotación de menores. El Fiscal General puede solicitar que se reúna un Gran Jurado Estatal para investigar y decidir si se deben presentar cargos contra los responsables, como un grupo que opera en varias localidades.

Es un grupo de personas que se convocan para investigar delitos graves que ocurren en más de una ciudad del estado. Su función es decidir si hay suficiente evidencia para presentar cargos.
El Fiscal General del estado es quien puede solicitar la formación de este jurado, explicando por qué es necesario debido a delitos que involucran más de un condado.
Puede investigar delitos graves relacionados con la explotación de menores, la pornografía infantil y delitos de crimen organizado, entre otros.
