Explicación Simple

Si tienes un carro pero ya no quieres ser su dueño, puedes firmar un documento que dice que renuncias a tu propiedad. Al hacerlo, ya no tienes derechos sobre ese carro y puede ser vendido para pagar deudas relacionadas.
