Explicación Simple

Esta ley dice que los vehículos diésel no pueden emitir humo o contaminantes visibles. Si lo hacen, el conductor puede recibir una multa. Es como si estuvieras cocinando y el humo se saliera de la cocina, no está permitido.

Es como cuando en una reunión familiar alguien cocina algo muy humeante y todos se quejan del olor. Así, un vehículo que emite humo visible molesta a quienes están alrededor y no debería hacerlo.

Imagina que Juan conduce su camión diésel por su vecindario. Un oficial de policía, que ha sido entrenado para notar el humo, ve que su camión emite una gran nube negra. El oficial detiene a Juan y le da una multa por violar la ley de emisiones visibles.

ic offense and, upon conviction thereof, except as provided in subparagraph (II) of this paragraph (c), shall be punished by a fine of one hundred dollars, payable within thirty days after conviction. (II) If the owner submits to the court of competent jurisdiction within thirty days after the issuance of the summons proof that the owner has disposed of the vehicle for junk parts or immobilized the vehicle and if the owner also submits to the court within such time the registration and license plates for the vehicle, the owner shall be punished by a fine of twenty-five dollars. If the owner wishes to relicense the vehicle in the future, the owner shall obtain the certification required in paragraph (b) of this subsection (2). (d) Intentionally left blank —Ed. (I) Any nonowner operator who violates any provision of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor traffic offense and, upon conviction thereof, except as provided in subparagraph (II) of this paragraph (d), shall be punished by a fine of one hundred dollars, payable within thirty days after conviction.
