Explicación Simple

Si tienes un vehículo de emergencia, como una ambulancia, debes seguir ciertas reglas. Si no las sigues, te pueden quitar el permiso para usarlo.

Es como cuando te prestan una bicicleta y te dicen que no la uses en la calle. Si decides ignorar esa regla y te atrapan, el dueño puede quitarte el permiso para usarla.

Imagina que Juan trabaja como paramédico y tiene un vehículo de emergencia. Un día, Juan decide no poner las luces de emergencia mientras conduce a una llamada. Debido a esto, le suspenden su permiso para operar el vehículo de emergencia.

Penalidades

Si se suspende o revoca el permiso, no podrás operar el vehículo de emergencia hasta que se resuelva la situación.

Vehicle Code - VEH DIVISION 2. ADMINISTRATION [1500 - 3093] ( Division 2 enacted by Stats. 1959, Ch. 3. ) CHAPTER 2. Department of the California Highway Patrol [2100 - 2482] ( Chapter 2 enacted by Stats. 1959, Ch. 3. ) ARTICLE 3. Powers and Duties [2400 - 2429.9] ( Article 3 enacted by Stats. 1959, Ch. 3. ) 2417. (a) The commissioner may suspend or revoke any permit issued for an authorized emergency vehicle under the following conditions: (1) The vehicle is operated in violation of any of the provisions of this code. (2) The vehicle is operated in violation of the rules and regulations relating to authorized emergency vehicles as promulgated by the commissioner. (3) The vehicle is not equipped as required by this code. (b) The permittee of any authorized emergency vehicle whose permit has been suspended or revoked shall be entitled, upon request, to a hearing in accordance with Chapter 5 (commencing with Section 11500) of Part 1 of Division 3 of Title 2 of the Government Code. (c) When any authorized emergency vehicle permit has been suspended or revoked under provisions of this section, any additional authorized emergency vehicle permit issued in the name of the permittee may be likewise suspended or revoked.
