Si debes mucho dinero al gobierno, podrías no obtener o perder tu licencia para trabajar. Esto significa que no podrás hacer tu trabajo hasta que pagues lo que debes.

Es como si tuvieras una membresía en un club, pero no has pagado tu cuota. El club no te dejará entrar hasta que estés al día con tus pagos.

Business and Professions Code - BPC DIVISION 1.5. DENIAL, SUSPENSION AND REVOCATION OF LICENSES [475 - 499] ( Division 1.5 added by Stats. 1972, Ch. 903. ) CHAPTER 3. Suspension and Revocation of Licenses [490 - 494.6] ( Chapter 3 added by Stats. 1972, Ch. 903. ) 494.5. (a) (1) Except as provided in paragraphs (2), (3), and (4), a state governmental licensing entity shall refuse to issue, reactivate, reinstate, or renew a license and shall suspend a license if a licensee’s name is included on a certified list. (2) The Department of Motor Vehicles shall suspend a license if a licensee’s name is included on a certified list. Any reference in this section to the issuance, reactivation, reinstatement, renewal, or denial of a license shall not apply to the Department of Motor Vehicles. (3) The State Bar of California may recommend to refuse to issue, reactivate, reinstate, or renew a license and may recommend to suspend a license if a licensee’s name is included on a certified list. The word “may” shall be substituted for the word “shall” relating to the issuance of a temporary license, refusal to issue, reactivate, reinstate, renew, or suspend a license in this section for licenses under the jurisdiction of the California Supreme Court. (4)  The Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control may refuse to issue, reactivate, reinstate, or renew a license, and may suspend a license, if a licensee’s name is included on a certified list.
