28-2063 . Mobile home certificate of title; exceptions; fee A. The department shall issue a certificate of title for a mobile home that is customarily kept in this state and the fee required under section 28-2003 shall be paid except for: 1. A mobile home that is owned and held by a dealer solely for purposes of sale. 2. A mobile home that is owned and operated exclusively in the public service by the United States, by this state or by any political subdivision of this state, except that it shall have a certificate of title. 3. A mobile home that is permanently affixed, as defined in section 42-15201, and for which an affidavit of affixture has been recorded pursuant to section 33-1501. The owner shall surrender the original certificates of title or manufacturer's statements of origin to permanently affixed mobile homes to the department in the manner prescribed by the department. The department shall issue a receipt for the documents surrendered pursuant to this paragraph. B. The issuance of a certificate of title for a mobile home shall be as provided by law for the issuance of a certificate of title for motor vehicles, except that in the case of a mobile home that consists of two or more separate sections, each section shall have a separate certificate of title. C. A mobile home is subject to all applicable provisions of this title, except those relating to registration. D. If a certificate of title is applied for on a mobile home entering this state for sale or installation, a certificate of compliance or waiver issued by the Arizona department of housing is required and shall be submitted with the certificate of title application.
