Tasa de seguridad vial y reembolso en Arizona

Explicación Simple

Cuando registras tu auto en Arizona, normalmente pagas una tasa de seguridad vial. Pero desde el 30 de junio de 2021, ya no tienes que pagar esa tasa y si la pagaste, te devolverán el dinero.

Es como si fueras a un concierto y pagas por un asiento, pero luego se cancela el evento. Te devuelven tu dinero porque no se realizó el concierto.

Ejemplo Práctico

Imagina que Juan fue a registrar su auto el 15 de junio de 2021 y pagó la tasa de seguridad vial. Sin embargo, cuando llegó el 30 de junio, se dio cuenta de que esa tasa ya no se debía cobrar. Entonces, el departamento de vehículos motorizados le devolverá el dinero que pagó.

28-2007. Highway safety fee; refund A. At the time of application for and before registration each year of a vehicle, the registering officer shall collect a highway safety fee in an amount to be determined by the director. The director shall deposit, pursuant to sections 35-146 and 35-147, all monies collected pursuant to this section in the Arizona highway patrol fund established by section 41-1752. B. Notwithstanding subsection A of this section, beginning from and after June 30, 2021, the registering officer may not collect a highway safety fee.  The registering officer may not collect a highway safety fee for registrations that expire on June 30, 2021.  For any registration that expires on June 30, 2021 for which the registering officer collected a highway safety fee, the department shall refund the highway safety fee collected.
